Open to submissions from July 1, 2010 until September 30, 2010. Free-verse, non-rhyming poetry with surrealistic edge is preferred. The entry fee for the competition is $10.00.  Please send $10.00 via paypal to medullapublishing (AT) gmail (DOT) com prior to send your chapbook submission, then send your submission to the same eMail address.  Send manuscripts between fifteen and twenty poems with one poem per page. Include a title page, bio page, acknowledgments, and table of contents. You may also send cover art and a marketing plan with your submission, but these are not requirements.

You will receive a response to your submission within approximately one to three months. The winner of the contest will receive 10% of the entry fees and publication, but all submissions will be considered for publication.  Medulla Publishing offers chapbook authors 50% of the royalties.

Anthology Submissions: Anthology Submissions are currently open to short stories between 2,000 and 4,000 words for Surreal Smut, the first anthology to be published by MEDULLA PUBLISHING. The title, “Surreal Smut,” is open to interpretation, but I definitely want stories that are experimental, original, and graphically erotic. Think Anne Rampling meets Franz Kafka, Alice in Wonderland meets Anais Nin, or Pablo Neruda meets H.P. Lovecraft. Please send your submissions to medullapublishing (AT) gmail (DOT) com. Include a cover letter and short bio. You will receive a response to your submission within approximately one to three months. I plan to publish approximately ten stories for the anthology, and each author will receive a percentage of the royalties. No upfront payment will be provided.
