The Wassaic Artist Residency is accepting 1-6 month proposals for the 2014/2015 Winter Residency Season. Our winter residency runs from November 1, 2014 – April 30th, 2015. Artists receive an adaptable raw studio space in the Old Hotel in the Maxon Mills, as well as living accommodations. Artists also have access to workshop facilities and the possibility of working outside. The winter residency workshop facilities include a full wood shop.

Artist in residence thru January 2015 are invited to submit proposals for inclusion in the 2015 Wassaic Project Summer Exhibition or 2015 Summer Festival. Artists participating February 2015 and after will be invited to submit proposals for 2016. All artists are invited to participate in a monthly evening of artist’s talks and presentations. Artists are required to be available on the last Saturday of every month to participate in open-studios. Additionally, the Wassaic Artist Residency facilitates one-on-one studio visits with professional artists and curators at least twice per month. In keeping with the Wassaic Project’s community-oriented mission, the Wassaic Artist Residency will offer several Education Fellowships to applicants interested in working with students and teachers in the local public school district.
