Final Judge: Dan Chaon

First Prize: $1000 and winning entry published in Fall 2007 issue. Entries of honorable mention also published in Fall 2007 issue.

Complete Guidelines for Contest Submissions

Deadline: Entries must be received by March 15, 2007. This is NOT a postmark deadline. Entries received after March 15, 2007 will be returned unread.
For each submission, send one piece of fiction (or a series of related short-shorts) totalling no more than 10,000 words, accompanied by a $10 reading
fee. Please send check or money orders only.

Simultaneous submissions are acceptable only if Sycamore Review is notified immediately upon acceptance elsewhere. Work accepted by another journal (even if the publication date is after the Wabash Prize deadline) will be withdrawn from the contest.

All entries must be typed and must include a cover letter with author’s name and contact information (address, telephone, and email address) as well as the title of the entry submitted. Identifying information must NOT be on the manuscript itself. Manuscript pages should be numbered and should include the title of the piece.

If you wish to be notified upon receipt of your manuscript, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard with submission. Winners will be announced by April 30, 2007. For information on winners, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with entry. Winners will be announced at sycamorereview.com.

Current students and faculty of Purdue University are barred from entering the 2007 Wabash Prize for Fiction.

All contest submissions will be considered for regular inclusion in the Sycamore Review. Questions may be directed to Rebekah Silverman, Editor-in-Chief,
at sycamore@purdue.edu.
