Campbell Corner at the Sarah Lawrence Language Exchange announces its Ninth Annual Poetry Contest. Entries that treat larger themes with lyric intensity are especially welcomed by contest director Phillis Levin and the judges.
The Contest offers a prize of $3,000. Winners are invited to give a public reading at Sarah Lawrence College. Audio and video tapes of the reading will become part of the Sarah Lawrence Archives, and the poems will be published in the Poetry Contest Section of the Sarah Lawrence Language Exchange.
