Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track assistant professor to teach specifically courses in fiction writing for the M.A. in Professional Writing Program and undergraduate fiction-writing courses as well as other courses depending on the new hire’s interests and other expertise. The Department has 60 full-time faculty members, seventeen of whom also teach in the MAPW Program. The Program offers concentrations in applied writing, in composition/rhetoric, and in creative
writing. The candidate selected will be expected to have either an M.F.A. in Creative Writing or a Ph.D. in English (ABDs will be considered); a strong record of teaching; and at least one novel or collection of short stories that has been published or that is in
press.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and engagement is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
