Weekly Writing Assignment is a weekly writing contest and a resource for writers, or anyone who just loves to write. Each week, we post a new writing assignment. At the end of the week, we publish up to five finalists and name one Weekly Winner. At the end of the month, we choose up to five finalists and choose one Monthly Winner. And at the end of the year, we choose a Grand Winner. The official rules can be found here:

There are no prizes at this time–the site is simply for fun and to get writers’ motors turning. However, the site’s only 3 weeks old, so if it grows, we would like to offer prizes at a later date.
