Two prizes of $1,000 each and a standard royalty contract are given annually for book-length manuscripts of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by emerging writers. The winning works will be published by New Rivers Press and distributed nationally through Consortium. Submit a poetry manuscript of 50 to 80 pages; a collection of short stories, novellas, or personal essays of 100 to 200 pages; or a novel or memoir of up to 400 pages with a $20 entry fee between September 15 and October 15.
