1) www.ladderwriters.com – Ladder Writers is running a collaborative contest with an artist at the Bank Street Arts Centre in Sheffield. Write a poem or short piece of prose of no more than 50 words on the theme ‘women and war’. All the best entries will be rturned into audio recordings and used in an exhibition and the overall winner win received £30! You receive points for entering and winning, allowing you to climb the ladder to become a paid critter or contest judge! The closing date is 20/12/09

2) www.ladderwriters.com – Ladder Writers short story contest: Enter a story of any genre no more than 1500 words. There will be an overall winner who will receive £60, and twelve stories will be nominated for four categories. The winners will be voted for by members, who will receive £5 for winning a category. You receive points for entering and winning contests, allowing you to climb the ladder to become a paid critter or contest judge! The closing date is 14/01/2010.
