Happily Cognating seeks to be both a place to find upbeat and positive writing on the web, as well as to try and help new authors get a first byline.  We’re looking for short fiction, regardless of genre, which readers will enjoy looking back on.  Ideally, something which helps readers to see themselves in a new way without being preachy.
Deadline for the summer issue is the first of May, 2012.
Entry is free, but understand that the prizes are thus understandably lower.
Prizes: the first prize winner will get $30, two runners up receive $10, via PayPal
