Paper Darts Short Fiction Award
$800 for 800 words. Plus, the winning story will appear fully illustrated, all beautified and sexy on its very own custom website.

Holt’s short fiction has appeared in The Pushcart Prize XXXV (2011 anthology) among other places. Her debut novel You Are One of Them will be published by The Penguin Press on May 30, 2013.
Submission process:
• All short fiction entries must be unpublished and 800 words or less.
• The entry fee is $6.
• Enter as many times as you please. Each entry requires an entry fee of $6. If you include more than one story in your uploaded file without paying an entry fee for each, your submission will not be considered.
• Entrant’s name should not appear anywhere in the uploaded material. Do not submit a cover letter—the readings are blind, so you won’t need to butter us up.
• Previously published stories and stories forthcoming in other publications (print or online) will not be considered.
• Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but the entry fee will not be refunded if the story is accepted elsewhere.
• Notify us immediately to withdraw a story that is accepted elsewhere.
• Winner will be announced on the Paper Darts website by June 1, 2013.
• All submissions are eligible for publication by Paper Darts in print or online.
• Deadline: 5-15-2013 (subject to extend as we see fit as we are the boss ladies).
