Weathervane Playhouse (Akron, OH) is accepting entries for its 8×10 TheatreFest to be held July 11-13, 2014.    8 Finalist Plays will be presented over TheatreFest Weekend and cash prizes will be awarded as follows:
First Place: $350
Second Place: $250
Third Place: $150
5 Runners Up: $50/each
RULES
Maximum running time 10 minutes.  Less is fine.
Cast maximum is 3.   Any combo, gender-wise.   No characters under the age of 16.
Sets & tech are minimalistic – plays are done on a bare stage utilizing things like big wooden blocks to signify a variety of things.   Please, keep it simple!
No one-person plays, musicals, or children’s plays.
Playwrights must be at least 18 years old.
Submitted plays must be unproduced and unperformed, outside of readings and  workshops.
Deadline for submissions is 5pm, Friday,  May 16, 2014.
