2009 Midnight Sun Chapbook Contest Guidelines:

Submissions for the poetry contest should consist of a chapbook-length manuscript of no more than 36 pages, an SASE, and a $10 entrance fee. The deadline for entries is March 31. All entrants will receive a year’s subscription to Permafrost. First place winner receives $100, publication of one or more chapbook poems in the issue of Permafrost, and 30 copies of the chapbook.

2009 Midnight Sun Fiction Contest Guidelines:

Entries to Permafrost’s fiction contest must be sent individually (one story per submission) and should include an SASE and the $10 fee. The deadline for entries is March 31. Entrants without the reading fee will be considered general submissions. Submissions must be double-spaced and limited to 30 pages. All entrants will receive a year’s subscription to Permafrost and are eligible for publication, but only the first place winner receives the $100.
