Welcome to Project 52, a creative writing contest wherein participants are challenged to write a piece a week for an entire year. This should be an interesting experiment and I hope that many people will join me in creating.

CONTEST:

Starting on Sunday, November 13th at midnight (central time), all participants will receive an email from my stating the theme or prompt for the week. The participants will then have until 11:59 p.m. (again, central time) on Saturday, November 18 have their work finished and submitted to the Project 52 email inbox (project50two@gmail.com). Work may be in any genre or style. Nonfiction, fiction, poetry, song lyrics, etc. are all acceptable, as long as it ties into the theme for the week.

How To Enter:

Simply PayPal $15 (USD) to project50two@gmail.com to be entered into the contest and you will receive a verification email confirming your registration. This will be a one-time fee for the entire year.

Winners:

Every week, all pieces will be read and the top 5-10 will be chosen. From there, everyone on the Project 52 staff will read each of those submissions and give it a score based on writing ability, uniqueness, and connection to the weekly them. Scores will be combined and the top 2 entries for the week will be chosen.

After four weeks, the top 2 entries from each week will all be reread and scored again. The top scorer is the winner of that cycle. Then a new cycle will begin.
