TWO POSITIONS (posted 6/12/07)

ENGLISH/CREATIVE WRITING: Truman State University, Missouri’s highly selective liberal arts and sciences institution, announces two temporary creative writing/generalist positions in English beginning August 20, 2007: Temporary Instructor in or Temporary Assistant Professor of English (two one-year positions, renewable).

Teaching Responsibilities: Teaching 12 credit hours (four courses) per semester in English, including creative writing

Required Qualifications for Instructor Rank: Master’s degree in English or Creative Writing; evidence of teaching effectiveness at college level; evidence of excellent communication skills

Required Qualifications for Assistant Professor Rank: Doctorate in English or Creative Writing in hand before start of Fall 2007 semester; evidence of teaching effectiveness at college level; evidence of excellent communication skills
