this annual contest is for short fiction by writers who
have not yet published a novel or story collection.
$1000 top prize, all entries will be considered for paid
publication ($250) in The New Quarterly, one of Canada’s
liveliest literary magazines.
Open to Canadian citizens or residents only.
No word limit.
All entries will be judged blind.
$40 entry fee includes a 1-year Canadian subscription
to The New Quarterly: Canadian Writers & Writing.
