Emprise Review is a new literary journal in search of stimulating original art. The staff is composed of an international group of writers who are looking to create an outlet for the best works without consideration for past accomplishments or genre. We want high-quality, compelling work.

Emprise Review publishes monthly online issues and will soon be moving into quarterly print anthologies. Deadline for submission is the 20th of each month.

All submissions should be sent as attachments with Emprise and the submission category in the subject line. For example: Emprise-Fiction, Emprise-Poetry, etc. Send poetry to emppoetry@gmail.com. Send everything else to empreview@gmail.com.

Fiction submissions, one submission of one story per month, should be sent as attachments and can’t be flash fiction.

Poetry submissions, one submission of up to 3 poems per month, should be sent as attachments and can’t require performance to achieve the work’s intended effect.

Non-fiction submissions (editorials, reviews, essays, extended reporting, etc.), one submission of one piece per month, must be sent as attachments and must be original.

Photography, one submission of up to five photos per month, must be sent as attachments and should be the highest resolution possible.

Please send clean copy. All works must be original. No anonymous submissions. Simultaneous submissions will be accepted but we ask that you let us know. Emprise Review will hold the rights to all submissions for two uses.

The editors will contact you regarding our decision between the 20th and 25th.
