The Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University seeks a visiting instructor to teach courses in introductory composition, upper-division writing, and creative writing and/or introductory literature. The teaching assignment will be 3/4. Opened in August 1999, the Wilkes Honors College is a
selective liberal arts college within a large state university. It offers a four-year curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, with emphasis on writing,
critical thinking, independent study, community-based internships, and cross-disciplinary programs in areas such as environmental and international studies. Areas of specialization may include Composition/Rhetoric, English, and Creative Writing. Ph.D. (or terminal degree in creative writing) is
preferred, but ABDs are welcome to apply. Some experience teaching introductory composition is essential.
