Creative Learning’s America’s Unofficial Ambassadors program (AUA) is excited to announce our first annual essay competition! The AUA program aims to foster people-to-people relationships that help to alleviate human development challenges in communities throughout the Muslim World. Creative Learning is looking for positive, interesting, and inspiring non-fiction essays that demonstrate Americans’ exemplary volunteer or development work in the Muslim World. Submissions should follow one of the topics below:

– Representing America
– The impact of the service
– A remarkable local partner

Prizes include one grand prize of $1,000, one runner-up of $500, and ten honorable mentions of $100. Creative Learning will publish winning essays in the fall of 2010 and the winter of 2011.

To enter, please email a 600—900 word essay by 5 pm EST, July 15, 2010 to MarcL@creativelearning.org.

Essays should include a title, your full name, the topic, dates of service, and the service organization (if any).

Creative Learning reserves the right to make more or fewer awards.
