Founders Circle Contest

Submit a prose piece up to 3,000 words or a poem of up to two pages to Soundings Review to win publication and $300! Write the name of the contest on the manuscript. Manuscripts should be 12 pt Times New Roman, and prose should be double spaced. Include an SASE for response, using a larger envelope for return of the manuscript. Entry fee is $7 for the general public, $5 for members of the Whidbey Island Writers’ Association. Accepting submissions year-round with a winner selected for each publication of Soundings Review.

First Publication Contest

If you are a writer who has never been published in a publication open to national submissions nor in a publication advertised nationally, submit to Soundings Review to win publication and $100! Manuscripts should have the name of the contest and should be double spaced in 12 pt. Times New Roman. Include an SASE for response, using a larger envelope for return of the manuscript. Accepting submissions year-round with a winner selected for each publication of Soundings Review. *We reserve the right to not select a winner in the event submissions do not meet the quality standards of Soundings Review; reading fees will not  be returned.
