CONTEST DETAILS: A prize of $2000, manuscript publication, and 25 copies will go to a single winner. Two runner-ups will be chosen for publication. Manuscripts that do not win will be considered for regular publication in the future. The final judge is Amy King of New York.

SUBMISSION PERIOD / DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted online between June 18, 2014 and March 13, 2015 (entries will be accepted until 11:59:59 PM (CST)). Please do not make revisions once your work is submitted; the winner will be given an opportunity to work with an editor before the manuscript is published.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: All entries and payment should be made online through Submittable.
Manuscripts should be a minimum of 50 pages to a maximum of 125 pages. Please submit your file in .doc, .docx format. Manuscripts must be typed in 12-point font, Times New Roman or Times. Please make your file name the same as your manuscript title.

Include a single title page with only the manuscript title. Only one poem should appear on a page. Include a Table of Contents as well as an acknowledgments page listing poems that have been previously published. No more than ten poems may have been previously published in a book. There is no limit on the amount of poems that have been published in journals and magazines, but be aware that the editors prefer new work. The author’s name should appear nowhere in your manuscript or in the file name.

We will  promote select work of the top three winners on Twitter, Facebook, and other venues.

ENTRY FEE: $25.00 per manuscript. Entry fees will not be refunded for manuscripts withdrawn by the author.

The $25 fee for each entry offsets administrative costs and supports ongoing Negative Capability Press publications.
